  I got papers from the des office saying they could help for bus passes and all that good stuff. On the paper I had it said I only needed ID so I go in at 2:30 because I missed the bus twice trying to get there. And I ask the lady at the desk about the bus pass and she's like you need a check stub and I give you 2 daily ones and I'm like you have to be kidding me I just spent my last 2 dollars to get there, I just got fired from my job so those pay stubs aren't going to be that beneficial well at least I don't think so. I'm not doubting the wonders that they do it just wasn't wonders for me and now I pissed the bus driver off because I had to ask for a free ride close to my apartment.

  I have been volunteering here since I was 7 years old, before they set the "age" for health code. I am now 16 years old and being here has taught me many important lessons and has helped me grow into a strong, grateful person. I love being around these people and every time I go people greet you with a smile and it makes you feel like an amazing person. I would very much recommend Paz for Jr. High/ High school students looking for Service hours!

  They turned me away from the food bank..had tons of mail w my name an address..but no month stamp..or wrong stamp..had script w water mark w my address..my ID had my address on it..nope..told them to call my counselor..they said they couldn't do that..I brought my safety dog..an Priscilla said I had to leave..no "Pets"..or they would have to throw me out..she was gonna get her Supervisor..I left..I didn't wa t to get arrested..went an sat at the bus stop..an thought that I was worthless..I shouldn't get any food..even thou it's their job to give away food they are given..traffic..so nice if I had a car..to be able to walk w/o pain..to feel nothing..but a nice blk man sat w me an gave me bread from his bag of food..an gave sum to my dog too..I said thank you..an tried not to cry..cause guys hate when you cry..his bus came..an I sat an ate that bread..it tasted so good.,I watched the volunteers leave..an I felt ashamed..them in their pretty..clean..new cars an trucks..me sweaty..hungry..feeling worthless..I had never felt ashamed before..then I realized..I felt ashamed of being "human" like them...an I thanked God..she always comes thru for me..every time..not Gods fault what other people do..or don't do..I'm just following her "lead"..please forgive me for feeling alone..because..you are always there..but some times..life..an it's "people" makes living is so very hard..
