  The traditional worship service is excellent. The topic of the service was tied together in all aspects of the service... the music, the children's message and the sermon.
  
  Personality and warmth are important... both in individuals and churches. We have found a "home" at First United Methodist church of Mesa. We welcome all newcomers!

  This was my first visit to the First United Methodist Church of Mesa. I am currently from MIssouri and trying to decide whether or not to move to AZ. What a wonderful experience I had today at this church. The music was beautifully contemporary. But best of all was Pastor Jim's sermon which was Biblically-based, stirring, and insightful. It was just what I needed to hear. That is how God works! Pastor Jim left me thinking seriously about my faith leaving me feeling blessed for this experience. Whether I move here permanently or not, I will definitely attend this church whenever I am in town.

  First Church Mesa is a living church, with people of all ages attending it, from infants to seniors. The sermons are given with love, the children's and youth ministries are excellent, and there are Sunday school and Wednesday evening classes the cover the topics of Bible Study, personal growth, and social issues. The choirs are terrific and there are many opportunities to serve the community through First United Methodist Church of Mesa. I should know; I have been a part of this church for 54 years.

  If you are looking for a great family friendly church with motivational preaching and EXCELLENT choral programs, look no further! Compelling messages for everyday life. Choirs for ages three and above. An annual children's musical. Fabulous weekly anthems and seasonal cantatas. Youth activities that include service projects, mission trips, bible study, theater, sports and fun and games. Big church, small groups. Worship at 9:00am or 11:11am with many Sunday School offerings at 10am. I am looking forward to meeting you!

  This church has one of the best pipe organs in the valley, and one of the best organists too. She really lights that thing up! People here actually sing hymns...in harmonic parts. And the preacher, Pastor Jim, is a dynamic speaker whose message always challenges me to think and grow and become a better person. The people are very friendly, and I've made great friends in the smaller group settings. You should try this church. Chances are, you'd love it and stay!
